The journey from the Ishinca Valley to the Akilpo Valley can be considered as one of the lesser-known treks in Cordillera Blanca. This circuit is located in the central area of Cordillera Blanca. Its valleys have been attracting visitors since the 1940s, but it was not until the 1990s that daring travelers undertook this seldom-visited trek.
